Christopher Alan, founder of Dasher Lawless Inc., a development company specializing in mixed-us and planned developments, based in the San Fernando Valley, has spent over 25 years in the building industry, gaining vast experience in both development and investment. Mr. Alan has dedicated his career to the building of large-tract planned developments, mixed-use, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout the United States including projects in California, Florida, and Ohio.
Most recently, Dasher Lawless received entitlement approvals from the City of Los Angeles to build “The Glen”. The Glen is a new, large-scale mixed use project in the heart of the San Fernando Valley that looks to bring Class A office space, and new retail and residential in manner consistent with smart growth principles. Christopher Alan won the ardent support of the community on The Glen, in direct contrast to what some considered being an impossible task. That success was built upon Mr. Alan’s core principles of his company Dasher Lawless, bettering communities through well thought out development, an inclusive process with neighborhoods and environmental sensitivity. It is important for Christopher Alan to build projects that are not only profitable, but that are also supported and championed by residents of the community in which Dasher Lawless intends to build.
Mr. Alan knows that in order to make a community stronger you have to understand and participate within those communities. To that end, Christopher Alan has donated his time and resources civically to many worthwhile local organizations that look to improve the quality of life for communities, such as the Greater Valley Glen Neighborhood Council, the LACCD – Valley College Construction Oversight Committee, Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Little League, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Laurel Hall School and St. Francis DeSales Church to name just a few.
In addition to Dasher Lawless Inc., Mr. Alan founded Auto Parkit, LLC, the technology leader in automated parking. Christopher looks to bring fully automated, “green” parking systems to Los Angeles and the country. Leveraging his building and planning experience, Christopher is dedicated to revolutionizing the parking industry to minimize its impacts on the environment.
Mr. Alan has been recognized for his contributions from the Los Angeles School District, Los Angeles’ City Council, the California State Assembly and the U.S. Congress. Christopher Alan resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Dorian and his two sons, Dasher and Lawless.
